As part of World AIDS Day which falls every December 1, the government of Bombay Affairs "has started a train called The Red Ribbon Express is specifically designed to raise awareness about the dangers of AIDS from November yesterday.
Inside the train would be based on the Safdarjung Railway Station, the tutors will be presented along with eight doctors and volunteers. During the passage of trains at a station, the volunteers will provide guidance and information on the dangers of HIV / AIDS.
This program will be held for one year with a trip to the 10 000 villages in 141 districts. If deemed effective, the government stated its readiness to expand the program.
The program trains are aware of the AIDS Foundation Red Ribbon Express was launched by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and executed by the National AIDS Surveillance in collaboration with the Ministry of Indian society and social institutions that deal with the spread of AIDS.
Meanwhile, according to UN reports, at present there are about 2.3 million people living with AIDS in India.
